permanent, full time Accounts Payable Specialist **to join our growing and ever-changing organization.
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be based out of Edmonton (YEG) and will be required to work at the office, located at the Edmonton International Airport, Monday to Friday.
Under the direct supervision of the Sr Accountant -Sub Ledger Lead, the Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to accounts payable.
Primary Job Functions:
The duties of the Accounts Payable Specialist
include:
- Entering accounts payable transactions accurately and on a timely basis for payments
- Verifying invoices and coding into SAGE
- Ensure approval signature received
- Respond to and resolve internal and supplier inquiries
- Statement review and reconciliation
- Assist with monthend accounts payable accrual entry
- Assist with the timely upload of employee reimbursement
- Any other duties assigned by the Company from time to time
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Postsecondary education in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Minimum of three (3) years prior accounts payable experience in a highvolume environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Previous Experience with Sage 300 is an asset
