The Cross-Cultural Learner Centre (CCLC) is a non-profit organization, located in London, Ontario, that provides settlement services for newcomers to Canada.

We are currently looking for a full-time, temporary
Program Assistant to join our Language Assessment and Referral Services (LARS) team.

This role assists the team with performing a wide variety of administrative and program support related duties. Above average skills in MS Office and Video Conferencing using Teams and Zoom are required.


As CCLC works with vulnerable clients in our community, you'll need to be able to pass a Vulnerable Persons Police Check to work for our organization.

This role is Fixed Term until March 31, with the possibility of extension

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of one year of experience in providing administrative and clerical support to a business or nonprofit organization including experience in word processing, database management, maintaining confidential information, records, and files
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in individual and group settings
  • Ability to manage time and tasks efficiently, meet deadlines and respond to queries without delay
  • Ability to successfully complete tasks requiring accuracy and a high level of detail
  • Ability to act proactively in anticipating the needs of the program
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to stay organized and prioritize work in a high volume, deadlineoriented environment
  • Above average ability to use MS Programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and complete database related administrative tasks
  • Summarize various statistical data
  • Prepare daily/monthly reports and ensure accuracy and completion by assigned deadlines
  • Collect and summarize client survey forms
  • Maintain inventory of program materials
  • Set up client files and update files as needed
  • Schedule appointments for program clients and ensure subsequent follow up actions are completed
  • Respond to client enquiries and direct client enquiries to CCLC services and other community agencies
  • Handle client intake tasks and enter client information into HARTs, iCORA or other databases, as needed
  • Record and distribute minutes from LARS and Community partners meetings and create agendas for the meetings

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 2 months


Salary:
$21.02 per hour


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
