MEDICAL STUDENT, SAFE MEDICAL CARE LEARNING**
CONTRIBUTING TO THE CMPA
Safe Medical Care Learning is central to the CMPA's vision of being a learning organization. The department's core activities include learning strategy, program design, development, delivery, and operations.

Safe Medical Care Learning uses state of the art pedagogical science to share knowledge and improve practice of members and their teams.

The department works to deliver on the CMPA mandate by incorporating needs assessment, design, delivery, and evaluation within a continuous improvement cycle.

The department's activities encompass a suite of synchronous, asynchronous, and blended offerings aimed at helping members reduce their medico-legal risk and improve the safety and quality of medical care they provide to their patients.

This includes general and targeted education programming that meets the longitudinal learning needs of physician members along the continuum of practice.


POSITION OVERVIEW
CMPA medical students will participate in the development and evaluation of research
- or education


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Registration with a Canadian medical school.
  • Successful completion of at least one year of medical school
  • Knowledge of office technologies including MS Office Suite, familiarity with administrative databases, Internet, and electronic document management systems

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical skills and ability to recommend solutions
  • Sound verbal and written communications skills


  • Bilingual

  • French / English is considered an asset
  • Sound judgement and the ability to prioritize own work
  • Ability to work both independently as well as within a team environment

  • A letter from the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Medicine indicating you are in medical studies and in good standing.

POSTING DETAILS

  • Job Type: This is a Temporary Full-Time position from May-August 2024
  • Salary: $30.00/hour

    :Hybrid

  • Primary Remote Job. You can work from a homebased office the majority of time, with regular onsite presence at the CMPA office (up to 12 days per week). If you prefer to work in an office setting as your primary workspace, you can choose to work out of the CMPA's office located in Ottawa, Ontario near the beautiful Dow's Lake. This role cannot be performed fully remotely.
