Reporting to the Technical Services Operations Manager, the Technical Services Coordinator's role will be to plan, direct and coordinate operational and project-based activities from inquiry to project closeout primarily in an office setting, but also occasionally to provide project support at a field level.
Review drawings, gather project information, study specifications, and interpret technical documentation to create project estimates, schedules, and proposals for commissioning and start-up.
# Provide commercial support, such as with regards to reviewing contracts, billing, invoicing, change orders, processing PO's and reporting on financials etc.# Enter and update project information in our financial database.
# Learn Bird's quality systems and business methodologies.
# Schedule resources, purchase materials, coordinate site project activities.
# Knowledge and experience of installation and pre-commissioning of high voltage equipment.
# Knowledge and experience of commissioning and testing of all types of equipment systems.
# Knowledge and experience to analyze test reports and recommend corrective actions.
# Technical, electrical and mechanical philosophy know how
# Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited post-secondary institution or Degree in Electrical Engineering an asset
# Minimum of 5 years of experience in field testing and commissioning
# Past supervisory experience and leadership skills will be an asset
# Knowledge and experience with testing software an asset
# Competent and comfortable working with computers and spreadsheets
#
