Description
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently preflight and prepare customersupplied printready files.
- Report issues to Customer Service, Sales, or Graphics Manager.
- Perform quality control on digital files, output proofs, and final output documents.
- Implement Flexo print/production specifications for each job.
- Utilize Esko workflows to create normalized PDFs and LEN files for plate making.
- Gather and manage project information (ink color, die lines, substrate details, etc.).
- Create web layout files on Illustrator from CAD files.
- Generate mounting Mylar with specific instructions for the Die Mounting department.
- Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of the Flexo printing and packaging industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Experience with Esko workflows is highly advantageous.
- Postsecondary education or certificate in a related field is a plus.
- Strongly preferred experience in color correction.
- Ability to QC LEN files for plate making is a significant advantage.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Macintosh platform and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Esko tools, and Graphic Design.
- Passion for artwork, innovation, organization, and motivation.
- Strong computer skills, effective communication (verbal and written), a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to adhere to deadlines with a customerdriven focus.
- Selfdisciplined and motivated to work in a fastpaced, detailoriented environment that demands creativity
