Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and participate in quality and diverse recreational, social, and/or educational programming activities in cooperation with the Programming Team.
Oversees the daytoday delivery of the assigned program.
Provide direct supervision of members, and ensures their health, safety, and wellness.
Engage in and encourage member participation in programming activities. Encourages regular member attendance.
Creates a safe and engaging environment in which the members can interact.
Ensure that equipment and the facility are clean, wellmaintained, and safe at all times.
Build relationships with the children, youth, and families within their designated programs. Establishes open communication with parents/caregivers. Identifies families who require additional support, and connects with appropriate resources.
Use Club vans to pick up members from school and transport to various sites if required.
Provides group and/or individual behaviour management and support.
Ensures Agency Policies and Procedures, Program Operating Standards, WCB standards, Risk Management requirements and general safety standards are met and followed by all staff at all times.

Qualifications:

Successful completion of a course or a combination of courses of at least 20 hours duration which include child development, guidance, health and safety or nutrition
Valid First Aid Certificate and Food Safe an asset
Ability to travel to between the clubs and class 5 drivers license
Successful completion of Agency screening process, including criminal record check

Hours & Details:
Peachland, Schools Out Program Mondays & Wednesdays 2:00pm-4:30pm

Fridays, 5:00pm-8:30pm, Friday night Recreation Program rotates between clubs

Rate of Pay:
$18.25 per hour
