Summary of Duties:


  • Obtain patients' meal selections and food preferences on a daily basis
  • Enter patients' menu selections into the computer system.
  • Process and enter patients' food preferences
  • Process diet changes, print late trays as requested
  • Answer phone, handle and direct food related queries to appropriate staff.

Qualifications/Skills:


  • Student or graduate of Food & Nutrition program is preferred
  • 1 year Nutrition/diet related experience is preferred
  • Good telephone manner with demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written
  • Good interpersonal skills, demonstrated Patient Focused Care Philosophy
  • Knowledge of therapeutic nutrition is an asset
  • CBORD knowledge is preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Keyboarding skills at 50 w.p.m. with maximum 5% error rate
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
