We currently have a
Temporary Full-time (until approx. May 2024) opportunity for a
Information Systems Specialist in the
Payroll Department at our
Bayview Campus.

**Hours of Work: Weekdays:
Days; 8 hrs; As per schedule


Summary of Duties


Reporting to the Director Financial Services this position will support all aspects of the Hospital's Finance Information Systems (general ledger, accounts payable, patient billing, payroll, capital and planning) with a focus on supporting issues associated with Dimensions (time and attendance system).


  • Gather business requirements and ensure pain points are wellarticulated and documented so they translate into effective solutions
  • Assist with the development of project scope, charters and high level project plans
  • Provide project management support for assigned deliverables
  • Facilitate and contribute to design sessions
  • Document interface requirements and workflows
  • Assist with development of test plans, test execution and resolving solution defects
  • Support data cutover/data validation efforts
  • Develop plans for end user training and support change management
  • Post golive hyper care support
  • Mitigate pre and post golive issues and risks with creative solutions
  • Provide inhouse user support to resolve critical support incidents with external vendors and internal IT
  • Support security and data integrity related audits

Qualifications/ Skills:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting finance information systems
  • Prior experience with implementation projects
  • Collaborative team player with superior influencing skills, who can build relationships easilyto move initiatives forward
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including ability to communicate technical requirements to nontechnical users in a simple manner
  • Demonstrated project management skills, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple work assignments simultaneously
  • Competence with SQL
  • Intermediate/advanced level knowledge of excel
  • Willingness to work after hours on an occasional basis (e.g. to support planned implementations, resolution of critical support incidents etc.)
  • Knowledge of UKG Dimensions
