About the role


We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to help us lead the deployment of our award-winning PhotonAssay technology and ensure operations run flawlessly for our clients.

This role, based in
Vancouver, will involve leading a team of Maintenance Specialists across the Americas. The Maintenance team are responsible for routine maintenance and service visits to maintain 24/7 equipment availability.


What you will do:


  • Manage/ lead the team of maintenance engineers (team leaders, regional leaders)
  • Design, develop and implement systems and processes to ensure highavailability operations of Chrysos installations
  • Develop maintenance processes and systems for the maintenance team
  • Have weekly 1 on 1 with direct reports
  • Update the training register and ensure that training is completed on time
  • Set goals for the maintenance team (strategic and tactical)
  • Complete the yearly performance reviews for direct reports
  • Complete probation reviews when they are due
  • Lead the culture within the team (including safety culture)
  • Send monthly fault reports to customers
  • Lead the monthly report meeting with the customers
  • Ensure that the team rosters are up to date
  • Ensure that the monthly maintenance is schedule at least 3 months in advance
  • Develop maintenance processes and systems for the maintenance team
  • Ensure that the spares strategy is implemented across all sites
  • Lead the recruitment process for new maintenance team members (including all levels within team: ME Senior ME, Principal ME, Team Leaders)
  • Work with the deployment team to assist in the installation & commissioning of PA systems using maintenance resources
  • Escalate breakdowns (greater than 24 hours)
  • Liaise with customers directly for multiple day breakdowns
  • Visit all sites at least twice a year to meet customers and team members
  • Review quarterly (at least 10) JHA's, HWP, WHP from team members
  • Ensure that SAB items are completed and reviewed by the team
  • Ensure that HPI investigations are completed and reviewed in 1 week
  • Ensure that RCA's are completed and reviewed
  • Have an eye and voice for safety and contribute to ensuring a safe work environment for all.

Who you are:

Essential_

  • A tertiary qualification in engineering, science, mining or a related technical discipline.
  • Familiarity with the mining industry and minesite operations, in particular minesite safety and reporting requirements
  • Strong customer service and problemsolving skills.
  • Demonstrate a track record of dealing with new grads/junior hires and their sill development
  • Able and willing to travel and work within the Americas and overseas, including at remote locations such as mine sites.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of technical documentation and processes
  • Strong communicator
  • Understand/basic knowledge of inventory and inventory consumption or analysis
  • Fluent in English (other languages beneficial
  • French, Spanish).

  • Customer Service and Field Service experience in mining, mining services, mineral processing or related industries.
  • Team leadership in a diverse environment, potentially across international operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in fault finding in electrical, electronic or mechanical systems.
  • Handson experience in one or more of the following areas: mechanical maintenance and repairs; basic electronics; engineering drawing and design.
