JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various products
  • Conduct inspections and perform pretrip inspection of vehicle before departing to deliver goods
  • Operate vehicle in a safe manner, obeying all rules of the road
  • Ensure correct packing and loading of vehicle
  • Deliver products over established routes in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Load and unload products in a safe manner, using provided tools as appropriate (e.g. dollies, lifts, etc.)
  • Verify all loadrelated documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
  • Accept or make payments for goods
  • Record information on pickups and deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems encountered
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles
  • Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and coworkers both verbally and in written form
  • Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 2 years driving experience
  • A valid class "G" license for the Province of Ontario
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
  • Proficiency with using GPS devices
  • Defensive Driving course is an asset
  • AZ License is an asset

ODGLP

Salary:
$20.00-$22.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
