POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, IMT Governance & Performance, the IMT Governance & Performance Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation, monitoring and assessment of the IMT Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Program. He/She/They will prepare, implement and maintain compliance plans, as well as conduct reviews of processes and procedures relating to GRC policies. The position participates in the delivery of a IMT risk management framework, assessing risk posture as they relate to the organization's information assets. The incumbent also supports the delivery of a system-wide information asset compliance program, ensuring IMT activities, processes, and procedures adhere to requirements, policies and regulations.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The successful candidate will have the following:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in an IT discipline or other relevant field.

Considerable experience in GRC or security related experience.

Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable to the employer.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Considerable knowledge and understanding of the principles, processes, and practices of governance, risk and compliance, risk management, service management, policy analysis, and project/program management

Considerable knowledge of information security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, ITIL, SOC 2, PCI-DSS as well as privacy regulations such as FIPPA, PIPEDA, PIPA

Strong understanding of key business processes, the inherent risks, potential controls and residual risk

Strong understanding of GRC configuration and security concepts and procedures

Strong attention to detail, follow-up and multi-tasking skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to exercise sound judgement

Ability to organize workflow and coordinate activities

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information

Ability to work effectively with a team of business users and technical analysts

Ability to problem solve, show initiative and follow through

Ability to work effectively with minimal direction

Ability to excel in working under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities
