JOB SUMMARY


The
Clinical Support Specialist is responsible for providing support and clinical expertise of, but not limited, to skin and continence care to the LTC market within the assigned territory.

Reports to:
Senior Director, Clinical Support - LTC


CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the clinical and sales team to introduce new products, support, and educate Health Care Professionals on them.
  • Conduct presentations and/or inservices to educate customers
  • Attend team meetings /presentations
  • Provide ongoing education as outlined by Medline/specific National Brands
  • Engage in the support of the existing and development of new customer policies and procedures
  • Support the healthcare facilities policy and practices at all times
  • Be available for all shifts when required for training and/or education purposes
  • Complete clinical summaries of customer visits
  • Assist sales team with product evaluations and implementations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Nursing Degree, College Nursing Diploma, related Degree/Diploma in the healthcare field


  • Registered Nurse

  • Current Registration in good standing (Includes RN, RPN, LPN or Health Care Provider)
  • Over 3 years and including 4 years (generally progressive experience) required in a similar capacity
  • Strong understanding of the LTC market
  • Strong knowledge of skin and continence care
  • Strong computer skills required (excel, word, power point)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • Confident in developing and providing education based on adult learning principles
  • Ambitious and selfmotivated
  • Outgoing and affable personality
  • Able to multitask and effectively manage priorities
  • Able to work under pressure in an ever changing and dynamic environment
  • Able to work independently with very mínimal supervision
  • Occasional overnight travel required in order to service all customers
