What You'll Do:


The Manager of IT/OT Security Operations will be responsible for the management of Northland's preventative, detective, and corrective security controls.

Your day-to-day will include management of the IT/OT Security Operations team; developing, implementing, and maintaining the policies, processes, and technologies that make up Northland's cyber defence capabilities; and assisting other IT/OT teams and business units with security-related tasks.

Reporting to the Head of IT/OT Security & Compliance, you will manage a global team while working closely with other IT/OT groups and managed service partners to ensure the security of IT and OT assets.


Due to the criticality of this role, availability to provide incident response support 24x7 is required as well as the ability to travel to other Northland international locations periodically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and improve the global IT/OT cyber security program that governs all Northland entities.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a global team of cybersecurity operations professionals.
  • Implement and maintain the ISMS, policies, procedures, and technology changes to ensure the evolution of Northland's security maturity.
  • Propose, implement, and operate securityrelated projects while providing security advisory to all other projects.
  • Work closely with Managed Service Partners, IT/OT teams, and business stakeholders to provide organizational direction and guidance on security best practices and compliance with policies.
  • Work closely with our Managed Security Partners to monitor and identify gaps in the current environment and implement changes.
  • Ensure periodic maintenance of security systems to ensure they remain current in their patch level and ability to prevent, detect, and respond to threats.
  • Plan and assist with periodic penetration tests and other security assurance activities.
  • Report on security trends and key performance/risk indicators to senior management.
  • Oversee cyber operations budget.
