Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Purchaser/Logistic Coordinator to join our team.Duties:
- Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
- Research potential vendors and evaluate offers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Verify purchase requisitions, clarifying unclear items, and recommending alternatives.
- Prepare purchase orders, verifying specifications and price, and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery, scheduling deliveries with suppliers.
- Update internal databases with order details, including dates, vendors, quantities, and discounts.
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and negotiate better prices with vendors and suppliers.
- Maintain updated records of invoices, contracts, and purchase orders.
- Follow up with suppliers to confirm or change orders as needed.
- Liaise with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition, coordinate and monitor supply chain operations and effective communication.
- Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures and track shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
- Coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements.
- Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders, and prepare accurate reports for upper management.
- Gain understanding of project scope and requirements by assisting Project Managers and the Director of Production.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain management roles.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Pay:
$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
