Pattern Maker/ Design Associate
Coppley Ltd. is a manufacturer of high-quality men's suits since 1883 and is located in the heart of downtown Hamilton.

We are looking for an experienced person to work in our facility who is interested in growing with our company.

Duties and responsibilities:

Digitize and create graded patterns with Gerber Software.
Understand all patterns and how they fit together to complete a garment.
Create and maintain technical specifications.
Measure finished garments according to specifications.
Fabric testing for shrinking and pressing issues.
Correct or advise on how to repair garments to remedy errors during production.
Other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Must have education in pattern design and/or alterations of patterns. Experience would be an asset.
Able to use Gerber software an asset but not required.
Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to develop relationships and foster cooperation. Must be confident in communicating and interacting with all levels.
Excellent attention to details.
Able to work independently and on a team.
Flexible to meet constantly changing demands of the workplace.
Proven desire to provide quality service to our staff and customers.
Must be able to read and write proficiently in English.
Must be comfortable working within a manufacturing environment.
Able to comply with all Health and Safety legislation and policy.
