Here's the job opportunity

The Business Systems Analyst will:

Develop business requirement documentation, system design specification, use cases, mockup web screen designs and workflow diagrams. Organize information gathered from multiple sources, and present information in a manner that business stakeholders can review and approve.
Conduct required analysis to arrive at solutions through use of JAD sessions and/or related research gathering processes.
Engage in the development and execution of testing plans, test scenarios and test cases.
Work with web developers to ensure adequate tracking on key website features, provide web analytics dashboards on website engagement & performance, and identify key insights & opportunities for website enhancements.
Contribute to the overall analysis, scoping, estimating and planning for projects.

What we are looking for

Postsecondary education in Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent.
Knowledge in Canadian Life insurance sector. LOMA certification is an asset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of management, business, IT and vendor resources.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problemsolving skills.
Fundamental knowledge of website structure, design, web analytics and web accessibility.
Experience with SQL, HTML, XML and JSON.
General understanding of the best practices involved with userexperience (UX) design
Knowledgeable in data driven analysis or data mapping or design flow practices.
Ability to facilitate business meetings and JAD sessions at all levels of the organization.
Sound knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (Agile and Waterfall).
Good ability to work independently and collaboratively in larger groups.
Ability to create clear documentation and explain complex process flows.
Ability to create work breakdown structures and estimations.
