As a Maintenance Planner, you'll coordinate maintenance operations and office administration for a mission critical environment. Provide input and maintenance oversight of processes related to base building and Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM). Not limited to, Hardware planning, space and power planning, and Access Control. Liaising with Client/Facility team members for successful completion of PM's/CM's.

Develop and document procedures for DCIM, maintain existing documents and inventories, and undertake and resolve Data Centre structured cabling issues involving Copper/fibre cabling and wire mapping.

This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of property and building services, including acting as an interface and a channel for communication between landlord, tenants and service providers and monitoring the performance of all parties that have an impact on the provision of facilities management at a respective location.


What You'll Do:

  • Analyze work orders (e.g., size, urgency, skill set, location, complexity, and available manpower) and assist facility operations teams with issuing work orders in a sequential flow to individual technicians or work teams.
  • Work closely with Technicians to coordinate materials, permits, subcontractors, tools, and another resource necessary to accomplish the work in the most productive manner possible.
  • Develop, maintain and distribute workflow processes to the entire account team documenting how work is planned, scheduled and executed.
  • Provide regular statistical reporting to the management team and client showing quantities evidence of the productive use of the workforce.
  • Use guidelines set by management to develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance and life cycle optimization strategies.
  • What You'll Need:
"Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future."- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Required. Minimum of four years of related experience and/or training in a mission critical environment

  • Valid driver's license, if driving required in conjunction with job duties. Facility Management and CFC certification are desired.
  • Advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures and systems.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent.
  • Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related; suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.
  • Evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a clear manner.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet.
  • Ability to use a work order system.
  • Basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
  • Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, coworkers, and/or supervisors.
  • Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
