Who We Are
SUMMARY
The
Learning & Development Manager will support the development of online learning programs and delivering talent initiatives across BGIS, in Canada and US.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Design
- Assists with the design of inclass and virtual inclass training solutions based on organizational needs using current learning methodologies.
- Designs and deploys training evaluations, monitors feedback and makes recommendations for future changes to course design.
- Partners with the business on key learning initiatives and instructor led design projects as required.
eLearning Projects
- Identifies eLearning needs and plans and manages eLearning project components, including intake process, needs assessment, storyboard and design, development, user testing and deployment.
- Leads the needs identification process for each design project including project intake process and creation of project charters.
Learning Strategies and Programs
- Prepare and implement learning strategies and programs.
- Deploy different kinds of learning methods companywide, such as coaching, job shadowing, online training and so on.
- Supports all training programs, initiatives and transitions, performing other duties, as required.
Development Plans
- Monitor the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.
Other
- Responsible for the tuition program.
- Responsible of the Year end program, pull reports and provide stats to VP.
People Leadership
- Supervise L&D Onboarding Specialist
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- You have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education or related field; and additional certification such as CPLP will be a bonus.
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and authoring tools such as Storyline 360, Rise etc.
- You are proficient in using learning management systems (LMS) and other elearning platforms to deliver and track training program.
- Demonstrated knowledge that usually comes with 35 years' experience with adult learning principles, exposure to course design and eLearning development software.
- Technology savvy with ability to build webbased training.
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Teamoriented and flexible with the ability to work under pressure.
- Service driven.
- Experience in project management and budgeting.
- Bilingual, French and English, written and spoken.
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
- Certification in training and development (e.g., CPLP, CPTM) is a plus.
