Job Summary:

We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our Millworks Custom Manufacturing 2001 Company team.

The Project Coordinator will support the successful execution of MCM 2001 projects by coordinating activities, resources, and communication to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

This role requires excellent communication, multitasking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Planning:
Collaborate with project managers to create comprehensive plans, purchase orders, and FSC, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Request the latest architectural drawings as the baseline for the shop drawings.


Resource Allocation:

Coordinate with the procurement and production teams to ensure the timely availability of materials, equipment, and personnel needed for project execution; create shop drawings directly or coordinate with draftsperson to generate shop drawings.


Documentation:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, specifications, change orders, and other relevant records.


Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams, facilitating precise and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Communicate with the architect via client when there are conflicts.

Stay on top of client to ensure timely written approval of shop drawings and submittal samples by client and architect.


Scheduling:
Create and maintain project schedules, track milestones, and proactively address delays or issues that may impact project timelines. Working closely under a seasoned project manager.


Quality Control:
Monitor project progress and ensure that all work meets quality standards and customer expectations.


Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues, taking proactive steps to minimize their impact on project outcomes.


Reporting:
Generate regular progress reports and update project managers on key performance indicators, project status, and budget tracking.

Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff affected by the project activities and review the plan as required.


Change Management:

Informs estimator when change orders are necessary and provides all required information, revisions, and scope adjustments, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed.


Client Relations:

Build and maintain positive relationships with clients by providing exceptional service, promptly addressing inquiries or concerns and communicating to receive and verify filed dimensions.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience as a project coordinator or similar role, ideally within the construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and production shop drawings.
  • Knowledgeable in using Auto-CAD/CAM software.
  • With Rhino, sketch, and Solidworks, experience is a huge asset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Problemsolving and criticalthinking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
