Scope
To provide any support or assistance in youth-led initiatives, events, and workshops.

To work with newcomer youth in the community, learn about the needs of newcomer youth, and implement activities to address needs.


Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand the agency's mission and objective, and carry out volunteer work according to the agency program expectations
  • Work with team members in completing tasks to support youth initiatives, such as planning workshops, events, and community volunteering
  • Be aware of cultural differences and ensure that the rights of all are respected
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ability to be creative in planning and organizing workshops, presentations, events, and other initiatives
  • Enthusiasm to promote programs, workshops, and events
  • Effective communication within a team environment
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs and issues facing newcomers
  • An interest in being involved in the community and volunteer work
  • Punctual and responsible

Other requirements

  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
