We are part of the Alpa Lumber Group of companies specializing in the manufacture and supply of building materials for over 65 years.

_

  • We are looking for dedicated, selfmotivated individuals to join our expanding team to transport finished doors and windows to locations across the GTA._

Production Supervisor (Night Shift)
  • Monday to Friday
; 4:30pm - 2:30am

Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and train department hourly staff
  • Uphold all established health & safety measures
  • Manage employee hours in company ERP/Payroll system
  • Plan, Schedule & Organize resources to achieve daily production goals
  • Monitor and maintain established product quality protocols
  • Promote a lean culture and drive cost savings measures
  • Maintain compliance with established company policies and procedures
  • Resolve employee concerns through investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending corrective action to Human Resources
  • Communicate production issues with Production Manager & Plant Manager
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Secondary School completion is required
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a fastpaced manufacturing setting required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supervising multiple production lines/departments is an asset
  • Basic abilities with hand tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and 5S required
  • Window and Door manufacturing or other building materials experience is an asset
