Flynn Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join its team at the Vancouver Branch. (Office Location nd Avenue, Surrey BC V3Z 3S6).

This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and requires an independent and reliable person to perform the responsibilities outlined below.


Responsibilities:


  • Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing and installation equipment both in the manufacturing facility and onsite
  • Operate production equipment and check safety, accuracy, and performance as required
  • Maintain records of work performed, repairs, labor hours and materials consumed
  • Identify/record problems relating to product, process, and quality system
  • Initiate corrective and preventive solutions through proper channels
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment
  • Ensure that work practices are compliant with WorkSafe BC and CSA safety standards
  • Perform general facility repairs such as basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
  • Qualifications
  • 1+ years experience in a related trade: Millwright, Heavy Duty Mechanic, small engines mechanic etc.
  • Basic understanding and ability to repair of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to work on gas and diesel engines from small to medium in size is an asset
  • Familiar with metal working, roofing, and glazing equipment and tools is a definite asset
  • Valid drivers license
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Steel and aluminum welding and fabrication experience is an asset
