The Health Economics and Market Access Centre of Excellence (HEMA CoE) shapes the innovation strategy, delivers differentiated evidence, unlocks reimbursement & market access and disseminates evidence.


Role Summary:


The purpose of the Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA) Manager role is to develop and lead projects and initiatives that expand patient access to JJMT's products and solutions by quantifying and articulating value to address payer and health care system needs.

This is done by shaping innovation and access strategy, delivering, and disseminating evidence of value and/or addressing market access challenges.


Major Responsibilities:


  • Define economic value propositions and market access strategies for our devices.
  • Leverage global HEMA resources to efficiently meet local business needs.
  • Design and review realworld evidence and/or health economic and outcomes research studies that are scientifically sound.
  • Conduct budget impact analyses and burden of illness analysis.
  • Review and critique medical and evidencebased outcomes literature.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally (sales and marketing, strategic accounts, medical affairs) to develop health economic tools and summaries.
  • Ensure that information and knowledge is translated and disseminated effectively with direct business impact.
  • Partner with hospitals to implement valuebased healthcare collaborations.
  • Present clinical and economic information to customers (surgeons, administration and/or policy makers/influencers).
  • Provide insights from policy and funding developments.

Qualifications:


Knowledge and experience:


  • Master's Degree in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Health related degree or Business with strong science/medical device background is required.
  • A minimum 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Experience conveying clinical and economic arguments to customers is required.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for requirements of the role is required.

Technical proficiency requirements:


  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of biostatistics, modelling and data analytics
  • Good understanding of clinical evidence.
  • General understanding of medical delivery systems, reimbursement, market access conditions and health policy trends.
  • A collaborative attitude and ability to engage with multifunctional partners to provide input and influence decisions.
  • Proactive, intentional and not afraid of challenging the status quo.
  • Ability to offer creative options for problem solving.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance short
- and long-term goals.

  • Ability to execute with speed, agility, and accountability.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to large audiences;
  • Ability to take evidence and other complex data and package it into easy to understand that can support commercial use.
