About the role
This selection process is restricted to employees working within the House of Commons Administration employees.

The Supervisor, Courier Services is accountable for planning, coordinating and monitoring the quality and effectiveness of service
delivery to various clients in the areas courier services. You will be responsible for the oversight and effective use of the
Parliamentary Dispatch System (PDS), to ensure the ongoing review of incoming, concurrent and priority client service demands, and
to ensure the proper assignment and re-allocation of resources to meet urgent and priority demands. There is a responsibility for
ensuring the collaboration of other PPO Service Areas and House Administration branches in meeting service demands. The position
also gives advice to Members of Parliament and other Parliament Hill clients on counter services and responding to the
requirements for Parliamentary Publications.

What you need A post-secondary school diploma in a related field OR an acceptable combination of education,


Education
training and relevant experience.

  • Experience working in a client service oriented environment;***
    Experience Experience in the planning of operational support activities, and the development of operational work
plans;***- Experience in interacting directly in a work related manner with high profile clients, managerial and

supervisory staff from other service sectors as well as external providers;

  • Experience in coaching, mentoring and/or training employees;
  • Experience in dealing effectively with urgent and conflicting priorities;
  • Experience working with MS-Office suite software (Word, Excel, Outlook.

Other Experience in the management of human, financial and materiel resources.
