EARLY YEARS FACILITATOR -PART TIME
**EMPLOYMENT STATUS: PART TIME- Contract in person position

Anishnabeg Outreach (AO) is looking for highly energetic and motivated member to join our team. Being part of the AO team has everyone contributing and working collaboratively to deliver programs.


HOURS/


WEEK:
20 hours per week 9:00am to 1:00pm

Anishnabeg Outreach is an incorporated non-profit organization guided by a volunteer Board of Directors. We work primarily with the non-profit sector and are guided by a clear mission and set of values.

We strive to provide Indigenous people with access to culturally appropriate services and strive to support individuals with direction and assistance to overcome barriers.

We encourage individual exploration of avenues that will lead to self-sufficiency and success.


Mission Statement

To assist First Nations, Inuit, and Métis by creating a sustainable and comprehensive suite of centralized wrap around services for urban First Nations, Inuit, and Métis and to establish Anishnabeg Outreach as an innovative hub/heart of best practices for economic development, training, and employment on reserves.

Build processes and tools that will position current and future First Nations, Inuit, and Métis generations as prosperous leaders and strategic partners in Canada's future.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Registered with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators
    or are working towards becoming a Registered Early Childhood Educator
    :
  • Plan and deliver high quality and engaging programming to children and their families, in accordance with the How Does Learning Happen Pedagogy and Indigenous Early Learning and Childcare Framework
  • Develop warm, respectful, collaborative relationships families and children 06 years, colleagues, and community partners
  • Adapt and be flexible in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong communication (oral and written), technology, and relationship building skills
  • Have a deep understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion with regard to children, families, and colleagues.
  • A self starter who takes initiative and seeks out ongoing professional development experiences in support of lifelong learning
  • Conduct themselves in accordance with the _Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice_ described by the College of Early Childhood Educators

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES

  • Research, build, and facilitate programming that engages parents, caregivers, and children in playbased learning opportunities
  • Develop and implement programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, songs and providing opportunities to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Plan and maintain a safe environment that fosters good health, safety and well being of children in accordance with organizational policies and procedures
  • Responsible for reporting online statistical data (i.e., attendance logs, etc.)
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment
  • Ongoing communication with parents/guardians
  • Participate in staff meetings and agency meetings as required
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Reports to the EarlyON Manager
