Responsibilities:


  • Lead projects to improve the efficient and timely processing and disposition of all matters before the OEB
  • Oversee adjudicative records management for the organization, including the digitization of historical records
  • Work with the Registrar to enhance the knowledge of Registrarrelated activities in other tribunals both in Ontario and in other jurisdictions
  • Support matrixtype reporting of staff as necessary to balance case administration requirements and projectrelated work
  • Provide direction, coaching, training, mentorship, and motivation to direct
  • Outreach with both internal and external stakeholders involved in the adjudicative process for feedback and suggestions, including OEB staff, Commissioners, applicants, and intervenors
  • Work with Public Affairs to establish and implement plain language communication
  • Provide expertise, guidance and advice to Executive Management, OEB staff and external stakeholders on the adjudicative process.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Political Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration or Law, or related discipline
  • A graduate degree or professional designation is an asset, such as Juris Doctor, J.D., or equivalent legal training
  • 5 years' experience in one of the following: regulation, law, compliance, utility operations, or other serviceoriented role
  • 2 to 5 years of management experience in a regulated industry, utility, public sector, or notforprofit setting. Experience managing in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Proven skills in influencing, building rapport and stakeholder relations
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills to evaluate information, identify and examine issues, and develop recommendations
  • Project Management experience, coordinating crossorganizational initiatives and working with stakeholders to implement changes
  • Knowledge of the adjudicative processes of a regulatory tribunal
  • Knowledge of provincial government structure, operations, and decisionmaking
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams
