Summary


Reporting to the Project Manager, Team Lead, this role works closely with the Project Management Team, Construction Supervisors and Operations, and estimating team for the successful delivery of Iconic Projects, from estimation to project closeout.


The Project Coordinator role is responsible for the day-to-day administration for project-based submissions, including but not limited to project estimate, project schedule, change management log/documentations, RFI submissions and tracking, document control, quantity accruals, invoice, cash flow, and forecast updates, client reports preparation, logistics management and the preparation and updating of project scheduling.


Qualifications

  • Business or Engineering Degree/Diploma
  • 5+ years in a projectbased role.
  • Design Build Experience is considered an asset

Skills

  • General knowledge high voltage construction, civil earthworks and financial acumen required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety practices and procedures in a safety focused workplace.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills. There are multiple client reporting formats in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proficient communication and the ability to work with multiple partners on the project.
  • Knowledge of Construction Project lifecycle
  • Ability to read and understand engineered drawings.
  • Experience in managing multiple proposals and estimates at the same time.
  • Capable of developing estimates based on drawings and scopes of work.
  • Capacity to resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Superior ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask.

Duties

  • The Project Coordinator works in the Project Management Team, reporting to the Manager, Project Management. Under direction from the Manager, Project Management or Project Manager, this role works closely with the Construction Supervisors and Operations to support successful project and construction execution as well as development and submission of information to the client.
  • The Project Coordinator role is responsible for the daytoday administration for projectbased submissions, including but not limited to project schedules, site administration/coordination, change management documentation, RFI submissions and tracking, document control, invoicing, client reports preparation, and logistics management.
  • Prepares quotations and proposals using standard templates using B2W and Microsoft Office software.
  • Review scope of work and develop assumptions, clarifications, and exceptions for the project.
  • Prepares accurate estimates of costs of materials, labor, and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings, and specifications to be reviewed by Management prior to submission.
  • Assist in the development of a project schedule with Microsoft Project.
  • Maintain tidy and accurate project documentation.
  • Work closely with Project Controller and Project Managers to ensure internal and external deliverables are met.
  • Interact with the client in a manner which fosters strong client satisfaction ratings.
  • Ensure a good working knowledge of company resources and the workflow throughout the project life cycle
  • Ensure equipment and Materials for the project are procured through close collaboration with the Project Manager and Procurement
  • Ensure Project Managers have adequate support to produce accurate and timely reporting.
  • Ensure Construction Supervisors and Operations have proper permits, equipment, and material on site for execution.
  • Ensuring all Iconic proposals are accurate and are delivered on time and have superior quality.
  • Work with proposal team to ensure all proposal requirements/inputs are delivered.
