    Role Overview
    We are offering a permanent, full-time position for a Maintenance Planner in the Facilities Maintenance Department. The selected candidate will play a significant role in enhancing maintenance productivity through the development of work plans and procedures to ensure timely job readiness.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and schedule all work orders for assigned teams, collaborating with Operations to minimize airport disruptions
    • Create, update, and manage plant history and technical files
    • Establish and assess work plans for maintenance tasks
    • Inspect completed work orders for data accuracy and compliance, liaising with other departments to uphold quality standards consistently
    • Analyze data to generate detailed performance reports
    • Organize parts and tools needed for scheduled jobs
    • Support outsourced maintenance services by managing POs and overseeing work in designated areas

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of three years' experience in planning, ideally in a similar setting, coupled with a trade certification or technical diploma; or a blend of relevant training and practical experience
    • Familiarity with multiple trades (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, etc.) to plan work effectively for short and long-term objectives
    • Understanding of the operational impacts of construction activities
    • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), particularly Maximo, with a CMMS certificate being a plus
    • Knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems
    • Capability in mathematical computations for estimating and procurement
    • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
    • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Skilled in researching, interpreting, and applying information from various sources
    • Proficient in MS Office applications
    • Valid Class 5 driver's license

    This opportunity is open to Vancouver Airport Authority staff and external candidates. Internal candidates' previous job performance will be considered for this role.

    Salary: $76,809 to $100,387 per year, based on a 40-hour work week. The salary is customized to match your experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
