Position Summary


This position will responsible for supporting the coordination of program services as well as oversight of the Community Justice Worker Team in collaboration with the Manager of Housing & Client Services.


This position will be the main contact for the Bail Verification and Supervision Program at the Court House to receive referrals to the program.

This position will provide information regarding program services and submit required information to the Courts.

This position will review referred individuals to the program and assess eligibility based on criteria outlined by the Ministry as well as program capacity.

This position will work with community stakeholders and partners to provide access to services.


Team Lead Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee WASH team schedule for court coverage
  • Provide coverage to other court service programs as needed (i.e. Direct Accountability)
  • Provide oversight of program service delivery within the courts
  • Provide feedback for improve service delivery or programming
  • Ensure implementation of all program forms
  • Monitor and ensure completion of reports and documentation required for potential submission to community stakeholders (i.e. Courts, Police)
  • Provide collateral information to the Client Services Manager to support program and staff evaluation
  • Provide support to Community Justice Workers (WASH, DAP/CSO, Supervision Case Manager) as necessary
  • Collect statistical data and complete required reporting for Ministry as directed
  • Submit statistical data collection to the Ministry for reporting

Program Delivery

  • This position is expected to attend court on a daily basis.
  • This position will provide service delivery to bail clients according to the Bail Verification and Supervision Program standards
  • Prereview information of referred individuals and complete intakes with those that appear to meet the eligibility criteria for supervision
  • Consult with the JHS Client Services Team by presenting information from intakes as part of the decisionmaking process to determine suitability for services
  • Verify information provided by individuals required for community supervision and the Courts for Release and Supervision Orders
  • Participate in daily client update meetings with the JHS Client Services Team
  • Participate in staff meetings, program team meetings, and client case management meetings as necessary/required
  • Communicate and work collaboratively with all team members including management
  • Work closely with management to ensure program integrity and quality assurance
  • Ensure adherence to the Risk Management Policies while at the Court House
  • Work in accordance with all applicable personnel, operational and Health & Safety policies of the Society

Community Partnerships

  • Work collaboratively with other community agencies and stakeholders
  • Provide program services information as requested by community members, partners, services, etc.

Qualifications

Training:
Diploma or degree in a related field


Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience working with clients in the criminal justice system
