This position could be located in the following location(s): NOVA Head Office - Calgary, AB; Manufacturing East Region - Sarnia, ON; Pittsburgh Corporate Admin - Pittsburgh, PA; Red Deer Executive Place - Red Deer, AB

This position provides the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays each week, with the requirement to report to the primary NOVA Chemicals work location on Tuesdays through Thursdays.

Employees can opt out of the hybrid schedule and will be expected to work Monday-Friday from the primary work location.

You Will Use Your Expertise To:
Utilize advanced data interpretation and simplification techniques to distill complex data sets into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Craft engaging data stories to effectively communicate findings and drive decision-making processes.

Support internal stakeholders by training them in the effective use of data visualization tools to monitor and maintain efficient business processes.

Implement data engineering principles to optimize data architecture and workflows, ensuring efficient data manipulation and analysis.
Identify automation opportunities.


What We Are Looking For:


University graduate with - 5 years related experience and continued professional development or - 9 years combination of post-secondary education and related experience and continued professional development.

A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or IT Computer Science background with a concentration in Marketing, Management, Sales, Finance, or Business Administration is considered an asset.

Quick learner with the ability to grasp new concepts rapidly.
Detail-oriented individual with a passion for research and data analysis.
Pragmatic problem-solver, adept at prioritizing tasks using the 80/20 principle.
Thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrating effectiveness under pressure.

Fluent in data tools such as Power BI, with some exposure to enterprise-wide data management systems like SAP or equivalent.

Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma tools/methodologies is advantageous.
Strong team player capable of coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
Clear and articulate communicator, adept at engaging with individuals at all organizational levels.
Comfortable with virtual communication, able to work effectively in remote settings.
Results-driven mindset, adept at task prioritization and time management.
Safety-conscious with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Empathetic and supportive team member, skilled in coaching and conflict resolution.
Proficient in implementing new work methods and managing change.
Capable of identifying gaps and developing plans for gap closure.

Additional Information:

Relocation will be considered to the nearest geographical NOVA Chemicals' location for this position
Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience
This role requires up to 25% travel
