You will oversee accounting operations for designated real estate investments and companies as well as the efficient delivery of financial statements and related reports.

You will ensure that all reports are accurate, meet the Company's accounting and financial standards and comply with IFRSs.

You will coordinate and review the output of the team working under your supervision and be able to solve any problems that may arise independently.

In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Advisors, Consolidation, and Consolidation and Capital Expenditures, and obtain the collaboration of external stakeholders to meet production targets.


Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Supervise a team of accountants,
  • Allocate tasks and workloads within the Specialized Accounting Group (SAG) in order to ensure deadlines are met,
  • Evaluate the performance of employees under your supervision, in conjunction with another manager and the senior advisors concerned,
  • Review all financial information prepared by the SAG, including partners' files, quarterly financial statements, audited financial statements, statutory financial statements and financial statements for tax reporting purposes, as well as reports for Statistics Canada,
  • Address various issues encountered with investments under your supervision,
  • Oversee the SAG's accounting of realized transactions,
  • Liaise with external partners for investments under your supervision in order to obtain the necessary accounting information for investments,
  • Validate divergence analysis between the respective accounting policies of Ivanhoé Cambridge and its partners; review the SAG's accounting adjustments to ensure the Company's standards are met,
  • Coordinate robotic process automation (RPA) for new investments, working with various stakeholders,
  • Act as a superuser for the RPA system,
  • Coordinate and respond to ad hoc requests for asset managementrelated financial information,
  • Assist senior advisors in providing support to business units,
  • Ensure compliance with the contractual clauses contained in the various partnership agreements,
  • Coordinate the receipt of all financial information sent by partners.
The key to success

  • Seven to nine years of relevant experience,
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA designation,
  • Solid supervisory and team leadership experience,
  • Sound knowledge of the accounting aspects of consolidation and currency conversion,
  • Knowledge of Canadian and international accounting standards,
  • Keen analytical mind and knack for processing and interpreting complex information,
  • Excellent prioritization and multitasking skills; ability to work independently and perform under pressure,
  • Strong communication, teamwork and collaboration skills,
  • Confidently innovative, creative and comfortable in challenging the status quo,
  • Excellent spoken and written French and English. On a regular basis, you will have to deal with our foreign partners regarding the financial information of our various investmen
