Hybrid:
This co-op opportunity will be a combination of in person and hybrid work. When working remotely, you will be required to work within the province. Remote work outside of the province will not be a possibility.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Workplace Strategy, the Workplace Strategy & Design - Co-op will provide client service, data analysis, monthly reporting activities, software and project management support for all facilities functions and core business support groups within Corporate Real Estate (CRE).
What will you do?
- Develop preliminary feasibility designs and space planning exercises for corporate office spaces
- Conduct surveys of existing GTA office spaces as needed
- Provide consultation with client contacts and assist in the governance and adherence of corporate standards
- Work alongside senior designers on a wide range of projects while maintaining service levels for all operational requests
- Perform AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel work to prepare build files for transfer from CAFM to Sun Life's workstation booking system
- Perform AutoCAD updates for reconfigurations within drawings managed through CAFM
- Input data into IWMS tool
- Create custom Excel reports for Clients utilizing existing reports and databases
- Support maintenance of accurate, realtime architectural conditions and associated data attributes across multiple platforms
What do you need to succeed?
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, FM Desktop, Microsoft Office products, and relational databases preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Working knowledge of SketchUp and willingness to learn new tools
- Ability to manage and track projects to meet milestones and schedules
- Strong problemsolving and decision making skills
- Ability to handle multiple demands & effectively manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business requirements, and demonstrate solid process development skills
- Strong business process understanding for graphics and data analysis
- Ability to work in a team and independently with some supervision
- Some travel within the GTA and Waterloo may be required

The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.
