Meet Your Future Team:

  • The Arc'teryx sustainability team is small, but mighty and integrated into business functions for the highest impact. Our core team of passionate experts work from within our Supply Chain department with key partners and teams throughout the organization to develop strategy, embed new processes, metrics and tools into how we do business, and measure progress against our company sustainability goals.

If you were the Environmental Data Analyst now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Building connections with internal data partners and coordinating the efforts of consultants as needed for environmental data projects, such as assurance
  • Exploring our environmental data and providing analysis, visualizations and insights for internal communications and to guide strategy and business decisionmaking throughout the organization

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Supporting the transition to a circular business model through research, data gathering and analysis
  • Attending relevant events and webinars and collaborating with industry peers to continually advance our knowledge and data systems in pursuit of our environmental goals
  • Collaborating with data providers to increase the level of automation and efficiency in our environmental data
  • Researching and establishing data processes for measuring and reporting on broader environmental impact metrics beyond GHG emissions

Are you our next Environmental Data Analyst?:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree or a diploma in a relevant field (Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Business Leadership, etc.) with a focus on data, modelling or similar, or equivalent experience
  • You have 13 years' experience in an analytics role in a relevant field (energy efficiency or renewables, water or waste management) and with a relevant industry such as consulting, corporate sustainability, or apparel and footwear
  • You have previous experience with GHG accounting or you have carbon accounting certification, and a strong understanding of greenhouse gas metrics and reporting standards (i.e. GHG Protocol)
  • You're a problem solver at heart and love to dive deep into datasets to understand and interpret them
  • You are an expert at managing and manipulating data in many formats and have excellent Excel skills
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, with an unwavering commitment to seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement with a willingness to prototype and learn by doing
  • You have a passion for working crossfunctionally and can effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You are an excellent communicator and are able to translate technical information into layperson's language
  • You are well organized and capable of adapting to different situations in order to deliver what is needed on time
  • You have expertise with data visualization tools and techniques
  • You are proficient at documenting processes to create clarity and efficiency
  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
