Specialist,

Client Reporting Development. You will join our dedicated Client Reporting team to provide reporting operations expertise to CC&LFG's institutional and retail investment affiliates and interact with all levels of the organization.

The Client Reporting Team is based in Vancouver.

What You Will Be Doing


On a regular basis we provide our institutional and retail clients with reports and information on their investments and our internal sales team with marketing material for our various products.

The information provided to clients through our reporting is a key part of the client experience, and doing it well is important to ongoing client retention while the marketing material supports our ongoing sales efforts.

In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of the development and enhancement process of institutional and retail client reports and marketing material


Key responsibilities include:

  • Advise and collaborate with the operational team members of the Institutional and Retail Client Reporting Teams in the creation of new and maintenance of existing client reports and other collateral material
  • Building, maintaining and enhancing report layouts using a mix of inhouse tools and leading third party technology to ensure highly effective reporting operations
  • Using a third party IDE to enhance and develop report layouts and assign logical rules to support the automated report production
  • Translating business logic to source code written in a proprietary language
  • Provide technical support to the operational teams in maintaining, preparing and distributing various reports to strict guidelines and deadlines
  • Involvement in the reporting systems life cycle from requirements gathering, assessments, development, testing and implementation to ensure the objectives of the reporting systems continue to be met
  • Develop new and enhance existing management information reporting
  • Perform quality control checks on the reporting process
  • Communicate with various Client Relationship Managers and other key personnel across CC&L to support and trouble shoot the entire reporting production process; liaise with the internal Information Systems support team and the third party provider to provide fixes and solutions
  • Provide training and support for internal clients on the reporting systems used
  • Document new and update existing reporting system releases and processes for business units
  • Analyze, maintain and improve the reporting process to maximize efficiency and minimize risk
  • Investigate and advise on best reporting practice
  • Working with various teams on special projects as assigned

Technology: Knowledge of source code writing is an asset. Knowledge of Simcorp's Coric Client Communication solution is an asset.

Industry Knowledge
  • You have an undergraduate degree coupled with previous exposure to the investment industry or similar transferrable working experience.
