The Investment Associate will work in an extremely entrepreneurial environment and will be responsible for conducting research and analysis with the ultimate goal of capital deployment and investment.

You would join our small but mighty team in Montreal, Canada.

Who we are:


As an Investment Associate, you will**:

[Day to day responsibilities]

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Monitor and analyze financial markets, economic indicators, and regulatory developments to identify potential risks and opportunities for our clients.
  • Research and construct comparable company analyses and develop multiple forecast scenarios through company and industry research
  • Valuation and thorough investment evaluation: development and maintenance of investment models, portfolio data, and supporting analytics for the company's Exco and Investment Committee
  • Investment management and value addition in portfolio companies in line with the Company's value add framework and investment approach
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes impacting the capital markets

You will be set up for success if you have:

[Skills & Requirements]

  • Successful completion of an undergrad in Finance, Economic with strong quantitative background and analytical skills
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in private equity, asset management, investment research, investment banking and/or capital markets setting
  • Wide understanding of different markets and business models, and ability to judge the quality of investments
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to conduct financial analysis, model complex scenarios, and interpret data effectively
  • Problemsolving skills and an ability to create innovative investment solutions / structures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, ability to adapt to different audiences and build effective relationships
