Responsibilities:


  • Bussing tables in a courteous and timely manner
  • Promptly washing and storing pots, pans, dishes, flatware, etc.
  • Prepping food, including, but not limited to: washing and peeling vegetables, prepping meals, properly storing leftovers
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dish area
  • Sweeping/mopping floors and waste removal
  • Ensuring the dishwasher is running properly and detergents/water temperature are in accordance with health regulations
  • Assisting chefs and waitstaff as required
  • Immediately reporting issues to the Head Chef
  • Assisting in daily room service tray preparation

Qualifications:


  • Previous dishwashing and prep cook experience
  • Time management skills, showing initiative to complete tasks accurately and on time
  • Must be knowledgeable of the Nova Scotia Food Safety Regulations
  • Must be an effective team player who works well with others
  • Must be able to work and communicate effectively with staff / residents
  • Must be available to work various shifts including day shifts, weekends and holidays

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Expected hours: 20 per week
