As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in:
- Fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and development
- Developing and executing regional business development plans in collaboration with the Directors and Regional Leads
- Attending/facilitating attendance of networking and industry events to secure new business opportunities
- Engaging with existing and potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs and showcase EnVision's ability to support their projects and goals
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and quality
- Managing, coordinating, and providing technical direction to site investigation and geotechnical laboratory testing programs
- Undertake geotechnical analyses and report on ground investigation findings and provide recommendations
- Ensuring high quality of technical work, including field methodology, reporting, and client deliverables
- Fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement
- Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment
- Supporting and/or developing Health & Safety programs
- Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multidisciplinary projects
- Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed
- Any other functions assigned as part of your employment
- Background in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering
- 15+ years' experience in Geotechnical consulting or similar field
- Eligibility or licensed (preferred) as a P. Eng. or P. Geo. in Ontario
- A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from sites (mileage to sites compensated), including valid and appropriate vehicle insurance
- Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills
- Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and coworkers
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
