Personal Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Attributes):

  • High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred
  • Advanced computer skills: knowledge of Plex ERP preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, multitasking, problem solving, and prioritizing skills.
  • Customer focus that balances results with accuracy and demonstrates strong influencing skills.
  • Works well under pressure while working with limited supervision and has a bias towards acting.
  • Ability to consistently make sound decisions in an ambiguous environment.
  • Advanced computer skills or has the aptitude to develop these skills.
  • General knowledge and past exposure to plant operations & company policies/procedures.
  • Ability to work within a small highperformance team that spans all shifts.
  • Knowledge of Plex ERP.
  • Ability to perform shift work and extended hours including weekends in an oncall setting.
  • Ability to work in both the office and plant environment.

Primary Purpose of Position


To audit & validate intended business process adherence and data accuracy of the PLEX ERP System, by the various constituent user departments whose conformance to standards & protocols will result in requisite high levels of data integrity (_accuracy_) and user ownership within the PLEX ERP system at MPD.


This is to include, but not limited to:

issue identification & resolution support, Plex related Level 1 Technical Support, ad hoc Plex ERP skills development & training as well as fostering an environment of continuous improvement at Meridian.


Major Responsibilities of Position

Problem Solving:

Provide issue identification & resolution support to departmental users that in turn helps them to develop skills necessary to solve their own issues pertaining to their use of Plex.


  • Help operations leadership resolve issues on the plant floor impacting data accuracy in Plex.
  • Promote a culture of change and user 'ownership' at Meridian.

Shop Floor Support:

Provide support to operations leadership regarding the adherence to proper operations on the shop floor ensuring a smooth flow with high levels of transaction accuracy in Plex.


  • Audit work centers to ensure proper recording of production, scrap, labeling, jobs, checksheets, and labor information are being transacted correctly and in a timely fashion.
  • Audit inventory adjustments in support of requested daily, monthly, and yearly inventory adjustments being requested in support of operations, as well as month end/year end close.
  • Support ad hoc Label Design

Technical Support:
Provide Plex related level one 'technical' support to system users on the shop floor.

  • Identify and communicate hardware & software issues on a continuous basis.
  • Troubleshoot level one connectivity issues with devices and handoff cleanly to IT as needed.

User Ownership:

Assist the user community in developing their Plex skillset and foster the value that each user is responsible for acquiring & developing their own skills.


  • Conduct targeted ad hoc user training and validate via ongoing audits of all processes.
  • Encourage the user community to embrace ownership & culture of change at Meridian.

Inspections, Auditing & Reporting:

Conduct daily Inspections; Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports that communicate data integrity, process conformity, and records accuracy information as it relates to operations performance in the use of Plex, as configured by management decisions.


  • Contribute & publish monthly Work Center Audit Reports for operations & corporate leadership.
  • Contribute & publish Inventory Adjustment Reports that tracks Inventory Transactions.
  • Contribute & publish monthly reports on Die Cast Metal Balancing, Ingot Audits to support Month End & Year End Close.
  • Contribute & publish regular checklist accuracy reports based on audits conducted.
