Position Summary


Reporting to the Director for the Centre of Academic Excellence and Program Quality (AEPQ), the Curriculum Management Systems Specialist ensures the efficient daily operation of the AEPQ's academic and curriculum management systems.

The incumbent has a foundational knowledge of the systems' purposes and functions and understands the inner workings, technology, and process workflow.

The incumbent collaborates with other systems administrators and various internal departments, acting as a liaison with systems vendors for maintenance, updates, and other troubleshooting requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Liaise and collaborate with a variety of employee groups, including system users and system administrators.
  • Collaborate in the creation and maintenance of all system resources and training documentation.
  • Coordinate and facilitate enduser training and workshop sessions.
  • Coordinate and/or attend meetings with system stakeholders, including internal program teams and service areas/collaborators, AEPQ staff, and external software vendor representatives (remote), recording meeting decisions, action items and next steps as appropriate.
  • Provide regular system status updates/changes with the college community, as system updates are released, coordinate timelines, meetings and testing requirements with internal stakeholders through to systems update/change implementation.
  • Document and work with external vendors and internal systems support personal/departments (as needed) to resolve system issues as the arise.
  • Validate all reports produced by the system for data accuracy and readability.
  • Record/log changes to business process as they evolve.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Three (3) year diploma/degree in Communications, Business, Technology;
  • 1+ years practical experience in a systems technical support and customer services support role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and independent judgement skills
  • 1+ years experience documenting business requirements
  • Experience coordinating and facilitating training sessions and workshops


Proof of credentials or equivalencies from accredited regional or federal post secondary institutions and/or their foreign equivalents will be required at the time of job offer.
