Description

The Northern Alberta YMCA is looking for a Grants and Contract Officer to work with funders and senior staff members to strategize funding for the organization, coordinates deliverables between organizational stakeholders in the grants and reporting cycle, and follows through the with grants and gifts from starting to finishing stages.

The Grants and Contracts Officer will show strong communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative setting.

Position Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with internal colleagues and stakeholders across key departments to ensure funding is strategically secured for programs, services and capital areas.
  • Coordinate with organizational stakeholders to ensure effective and timely planning, content development and submissions of proposals, agreements, reporting and funding renewals.
  • Manage relationships for a portfolio of funders (government, corporate, foundation, etc.) to secure support towards organizational targets.
  • Develop causedriven case statements, budgets, reporting outlines and clear agreement messaging to convey project purpose and goals.
  • Follow ethical and accepted communication practices and follow the YMCA brand guidelines on all projects.
  • Provide strategic and annual targets related to grant and contract acquisition to the annual budget development and forecasting processes.

What You'll Need

  • University degree in business, human services or related field or equivalent.
  • 3 years' experience with grants and contracts research, cultivation and proposal writing.
  • Experience with funderrelationship building and funds development activities.
  • Experience working with collaborative initiatives and partnerships.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable sector and where Child Intervention/Enhanced Security check
