Manager, Scheduling & Timetabling

D U T I E S
The Manager provides guidance and supervision to the Scheduling and Timetabling team;
ensures the timely collection, creation, and evaluation of scheduling data within the College's
timetabling software system, and creation, deletion of course sections and registration blocks
within the College's student information system; Oversees the scheduling of all full time programs
at the Notre Dame and Exchange District Campuses (including Continuing Education full-time
programs) and provision of timetables for students, instructors and rooms; Oversees the data
entry of the Stevenson, Language Training Centre and Regional Campuses program scheduling;
Works closely with Deans, Academic Chairs and Associate Deans to advise them on scheduling
issues and resolve conflicts.

  • R E Q U I R E D Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S
  • Undergraduate Degree focusing on Business/ Management An equivalent combination of
- education and experience may be considered
  • Several years experience with setup, integration, implementation and operation of timetabling
- and/or student information systems
  • Several years managerial and supervisory experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, leadership, organization and analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret different information and communicate to a variety of stakeholders
  • Excellent computer skills within a large complex customer database in Microsoft Word, Excel,
  • Power Point and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize duties to ensure deadlines are met
  • Excellent active listening, observation, constructive criticism, and conflict resolution skills
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience leading, supervising, training, and motivating a team
  • Experience in systems testing, including identifying errors, considering ideas and alternatives
- and taking initiative to resolve errors
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and organize tasks/workloads; meet deadlines; adapt to
- changing priorities with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning
and continuous improvement

  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
  • This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer
