The Opportunity:
Open Text is looking for an IT Release Manager as part of the Release&Cutover team within CIO Performance Engineering.
We are currently building our team presence in Canada and looking for an individual who can come in and make the job their own.
The role would be responsible to plan, schedule, govern and control the movement of both BAU fixes and new projects to controlled test environments and ultimately to production.
What You Are Great At:
- Providing maximum value to our partners and IT projects teams by displaying critical thinking, problem solving and project management skills to lead high quality IT releases.
- Manage and mitigate risks and resolve issues regarding release quality and schedule
- Ensure that all teams follow the process and governance defined, and perform quality checks on releases
- Ensure appropriate checkpoints are met and coordinate release signoff
- Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the release processes, and make improvement as required
- Manage communication and provide regular updates to stakeholders and customers regarding release status, changes, and risks.
What It Takes To Excel:
- Bachelor's degree
- 810 years of experience in IT/CIO/CDO operations environment in systems analysis or development
- Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle and different delivery models, waterfall, agile and hybrid
- Intellect and gravitas to influence and gain credibility with stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate crossfunctional work teams toward task completion
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality, service and personal ownership
- Deal well with ambiguity and enable a consensus to be reached
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must
- Influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
- Effective communicator who can work seamlessly with technical and nontechnical resources.
- Ability and desire to work in a fastpaced and continually evolving environment
- Knowledge of Enterprise Applications and SaaS products
