Shouldice Hospital in Thornhill, the leader in hernia repairs, is looking for a weekday ground's keeper to assist our grounds' crew in maintaining the picturesque landscape and gardens, along with regular maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide garbage removal service throughout the site by emptying receptacles.
  • Assist staff with ground and lawn maintenance and brush removal.
  • Plant and weed flower gardens.
  • Operate light equipment such as handpowered tools, grass trimmers, riding mower, etc.
  • Assist with a variety of general maintenance and housekeeping tasks, as required, for example, painting.
  • Other duties as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with the general public.
  • Team player who can also work independently.
  • Ability to take direction and seek clarification if required.
  • Self-Starter.
  • Previous experience in lawn and/or general maintenance an asset.

Job Types:
Full-time, Seasonal


Salary:
$17.00 per hour
