PROJECT MANAGER, INDUSTRY PROGRAMMING
Reporting to the Senior Director of Industry & Theatrical, this position will manage and produce the development of new, targeted initiatives for emerging to mid-career content producers, filmmakers, and writers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Shall include but not be limited to:_
- Produce a half day Science & Technology Project Pitch event at Festival, during the Industry Conference.
- Work with the Industry Programming team to outreach and ensure strong applicants and programme awareness
- Review and select project submissions
- Create structure and runofshow of event in collaboration with Event Production Team
- Invite decisionmakers to offer feedback to the pitch participants
- Secure a pitch coach to strengthen pitches
- Secure event host to lead audience through the event
- Manage budget, including the delivery of funds to selected participants
- Provide detailed budget and project report to key funder
- Support selection of Science & Technology Writers' Fellowship and the distribution of an award as part of a Fellowship
- Work with Industry and Film Office teams to ensure guests, participants, and awards winners receive access, and accommodation to TIFF 2023
- Work with the Industry Team to create, circulate, and summarize postprogramme survey to gauge impact on participants
- Track new, science related films for Theatrical and Public Programming teams, in support of Science on Film Showcase
- Lead Screen Creators Initiative Project, from September to May
- Manage selection of a small cohort of emerging producers, that have projects ready to pitch to US executives in Los Angeles and New York
- Develop and deliver virtual project pitch preparation workshops
- Source meetings for producers with decision makers, including studios, distributors, and agencies in New York and Los Angeles
- Work with thirdparty partners to support delivery of the programme
- Manage budget with Industry and Film Office teams for programme including participant travel
- Travel if required to New York and Los Angeles with producers to guide their experiences in the programme
- Work with the Industry Team to create, circulate, and summarize postprogramme survey to gauge impact on participants

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the screenbased industry, with strong understanding of talent development and businesstobusiness programming
- Experience with and interest in storytelling about science and technology
- Experience evaluating project packages
- Experience project managing events, ideally associated with content creators
- Experience managing others
