***Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.


The Client Services department is seeking a collaborative, innovative and results-oriented individual for the regular full-time position of Business Transformation Specialist.


Reporting to the Director, Client Services, the Business Transformation Specialist plays a critical role in the design, mapping, and implementation of business transformation solutions to improve service delivery.

The Specialist leads engagements and planning with departments across the Administration to acquire in-depth knowledge of business areas and gain information on trends and opportunities, and thereafter conducts requirements analyses, performs the necessary evaluations, and documents processes and workflows.

The Specialist provides strategic advice to departmental and organizational leadership on business transformation initiatives and on related matters that may drive or inform decision-making on operational efficiencies and continuous improvement opportunities.


QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have:

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized postsecondary institution.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in business needs identification/assessment, major business transformation and integration, process development and mapping, and workflow development and management.
  • Experience successfully leading business transformation initiatives and support teams using recognized project management approaches.
  • Experience facilitating, influencing, problem solving, and consensusbuilding to establish effective and successful partnerships with stakeholders to drive business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working in a complex and multifaceted serviceoriented environment.
  • Recognized certification in process management, optimization, or improvement considered an asset.
  • Experience working in a parliamentary or public sector environment is considered an asset.
