Montreal Compound Supervisor

Location:

Saint-Luc, Quebec

Schedule:
8:30AM - 5:00PM
(Monday-Friday), one (1) hour unpaid lunch break included
Position Summary

The Compound Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compound operations are executed safely and efficiently. Compound operations primarily consist of loading various types (mainly vehicle) of products to trucks and rail leaving the facility.

Duties will include but not limited to :
planning for product space allocation, inventory management, cost forecasting with keen focus on managing spend, and close coordination with the rail and truck operations and logistics teams

Essential Job Duties:

1. Compound supervision (40%)

Supervise compound operations, including communication with GCI vendors and Subcontractors Monitor compound operations, including overall productivity, efficiency, and accuracy Review compound operations and evaluate work processes, identify irregularities in compound operations and standards designs, present Management with suggestions to correct issues, and propose enhancements to all areas of the compound operations.

2.
Maintain and updates (30%)

Measure and evaluate performance with Vendors and subcontractors (KPI's). Investigate claims, accidents and injury within Montreal, Quebec City and St John, NB region. Identify root cause and suggest corrective actions.

3. Reporting (30%)

Investigate claims, accidents and injury within Montreal, Quebec City and St John, NB region. Identify root cause and suggest corrective actions. Collect and report all claims data received to Management and HQ Claims Associate. Upload to systems when required. Perform regular quarterly audits on regional compound and carriers. Plan for short and longterm goals. Minimize severity or frequency of accidents of contractors through risk identification process in regional compounds in Mtl./Que./StJ.

Minimum Requirements:

Automotive Operation experience at least 4-5 years, knowledge of automotive and over all automotive parts is strongly preferred.

Excellent Excel skills and excellent PowerPoint skills are required.

Skills & Knowledge:
Strong analytic and decision making skills.

Ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities and deadlines.

Strong communication skills, able to address customer requests and concerns in professional manner

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

French Bilingual strongly preferred

Job Types:

Salary:

Up to $79,000.00 per year
