Description

Role Responsibilities

  • Perform basic setup, calibration and testing, computer assembly, component insertion, and software installation
  • Responsible for product hardware and software configuration work
  • Refurbish products including repack, reimage, dissemble, reassemble, and clean product
  • Test and troubleshoot desktop, laptop, monitor, and computerrelated accessories
  • Assist in developing test specifications from outlined written requirements or procedures, blueprints, drawings, and diagrams
  • Complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing
  • Prepare technical reports
  • May assist in the selection and setup of specialized test equipment
  • Assist with customer technical support when required
  • Provide product specification, product configuration, and details of service offerings to both internal associates and TD SYNNEX customers when required
  • Assist with bench repair work (repair PC, laptop, LCD monitor)
  • Hours of work will be
    Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am 5:00 pm

Minimum Requirements

  • 1+ year related experience
  • Experience with electronics and computerrelated products and peripheral equipment
  • Assembling computer and configuration of peripheral equipment
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent minimum, computer science related training, postsecondary diploma, certification is an asset
  • Ability to complete the required technical training certification when needed
  • Ability to read, comprehend and implement test procedures from written documentation
  • Ability to review test procedures and understand failure analysis
  • A+ Certification is an asset
  • Must be able to effectively work within a team environment
  • Meet weight lifting requirement of up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Be able to work with precision tolling in small places
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
