The Opportunity:

We are recruiting a
CLINICAL LEAD SUICIDE PREVENTION AND POSTVENTION

  • This is a regular fulltime role (35 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) based at 234 St. Patrick St. E. Fergus.


Reporting to the Manager, Children's Services and the Clinical and Forensic Psychologist, the Clinical Lead Suicide Prevention and Postvention's role will foster clinical excellence in suicide prevention and postvention with CMHA WW staff and Community Partners through clinical support, supervision and training.

The Clinical Lead will work collaboratively with staff, and the relevant service management team, to ensure alignment between staff activities and the strategic/operational priorities of the service, and CMHA WW at large.

This role will also provide clinical services including assessment and treatment for individuals, families and groups as a Mental Health Clinician with the Support After Suicide Team.


Qualifications:

  • Master's level degree in psychology, social work, or relevant health or social science field
  • Registration with relevant college/registering body
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in suicide prevention and postvention
  • Three or more years of related experience in providing communitybased mental health services including suicide prevention and postvention support
  • Welldeveloped assessment and intervention skills
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problemsolving skills
  • Able to work collaboratively in a fastpaced and multidisciplinary setting
  • Demonstrated high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem recognition and problemsolving skills
  • Able to handle multiple responsibilities with competing priorities in a fastpaced progressive environment
  • Must be well organized, selfdirected, set priorities, and manage time effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and must be able to interact patiently, effectively, and professionally as a member of an interprofessional team
  • Committed to service excellence and client safety
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office programs and technology including internet and intranet
  • A valid driver's license, vehicle and insurance, as travel is required




CLASSIFICATION AND RATE OF PAY:
Level 7 (OPSEU) - $38.45 to $46.88 per hour
