Community Social Service Worker Student
Please note this position is for a summer student and funded by the Government of Canada's Summer Job (CSJ) Program.
Terms of Employment:
- Seasonal employment fulltime for 8 weeks/35 hours per week beginning May 06, 2024 to July 01, 202

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Client Intakes and Assessments:
- Conduct initial client intakes, gathering essential information and assessing immediate needs.
- Assist in evaluating client situations to provide appropriate referrals or support.
Support Program Staff:
- Collaborate with program staff to support the group and individual programming offered at WCYR.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating workshops, support groups, or counseling sessions.
Administrative Assistance:
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate client records.
Community Outreach and Education:
- Participate in community outreach events to raise awareness about services offered by the Women's Centre.
- Contribute to educational materials or workshops aimed at empowering women and promoting social change.
Collaboration and Networking:
- Build relationships and collaborate with other social service organizations, agencies, or community partners.
- Attend meetings or networking events to enhance collaboration and information sharing.
