Do you have experience with sourcing, coordinating and executing procurement of materials and services? This role reviews and analyzes requisitions, prepares and issues request for quotes (RFQ) for materials and services.

What You Will Do:

  • Carries out the complete procurement process from preparing all aspects of competitive bids through to, commercial evaluation, recommendations and purchase order issuance. Ensure compliance with purchasing procedures and that user requirements are met.
  • Investigates and facilitates issue resolution relative to procurement activities as requested.
  • Enable Supply Chain strategic objectives by periodically reviewing and recommending adjustments to processes, systems, and tools.
  • Mentors, guides and trains department staff or end user department personnel as required.
  • Build, review and maintain GDS Supply Service Centre metrics and key performance indicators which includes tracking, collection and manipulation of data for monthly reports.

Who You Are:

  • 4 or more years of experience within Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Related university degree (Supply Chain Management, Finance or Business Administration); other combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) / Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation considered an asset.
  • Proven soft skills in dealing with Stakeholders, Vendors and Peers.
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance.
